Anastasia Williams, MD ‘98, is the recipient of the UVA Medical Alumni Association's 2024 Outstanding Medical Alumnus Award in recognition of her service to the MAA and the School of Medicine
The UVA Medical Alumni Association is pleased to announce the recipient of our 2024 Outstanding Medical Alumnus Award: Anastasia Williams, MD ‘98. Dr. Williams, a pediatrician in Los Angeles, has never shied away from an opportunity to be a champion for the UVA Medical Alumni Association, her class, current students, or the School of Medicine.
In addition to her service on the UVA Medical Alumni Association Board of Directors, Dr. Williams has served her class on the planning committee for Class of 1998 reunions. She played a critical role in the development of the Black Medical Alumni Engagement Group and as a driving force behind 2022 Black Medical Alumni Weekend. In her role with the Black Medical Alumni Engagement Group, and as a mentor with the Student-Alumni Mentorship Program, Dr. Williams has supported and encouraged the next generation of physicians. She also served as an interview panelist during the dean’s search in 2021.
