The University of Virginia Medical Alumni Association relies on support from alumni and friends to continue to maintain and renovate our historic headquarters. The building and grounds provide working space for our staff as well as a gathering place for alumni, students, and friends of the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

To support this effort, you can purchase an inscribed brick to be placed in our courtyard that will be part of the building’s history for years to come. Contributions go towards the building fund and are designated to support current building maintenance and upkeep, as well as provide opportunities for future property expansion and upgrades.

Last year, the UVA Medical Alumni Association and Medical School Foundation provided $2.75 million in scholarship support to the School of Medicine. Alumni made this possible!

Whether it’s a class fund that provides scholarship assistance to individual donors endowing scholarship awards, these funds will ensure that the School of Medicine and its world-renowned faculty and staff can continue to attract and support the exceptional students of today who will become vital physicians, scientists, and healthcare innovators serving our communities tomorrow.

Each year, the University of Virginia Medical Alumni Association and Medical School Foundation teams up with the School of Medicine’s graduating class to host the fourth-year giving campaign. The campaign is a meaningful way for graduating students to show their support for the school before receiving their degrees and moving on to their residencies.

About the campaign:

• The campaign for the Class of 2025 will run through June 30, 2025.
• The suggested donation is $20.25, but there is no minimum contribution requirement. Every gift counts.
• If the final class giving percentage reaches 75%, the achievement will be engraved on a brick or stone and placed in the courtyard at the UVA Medical Alumni Association office at 1111 West Main Street.

Established by an anonymous donor and matched by the UVA Medical Alumni Association, this Scholarship Fund provides need-based financial assistance to medical students.

Supporters can contribute to this scholarship to help reduce the debt burden of medical students at the University of Virginia.

Established by the UVA Medical Alumni Association, this fund support projects that directly benefit today’s students, including:

• Providing ophthalmoscopes and otoscopes to help minimize their out-of-pocket expenses.
• Improvements to the Mulholland Student Lounge in the Claude Moore Medical Education Building and the student gym.
• Coming soon! The Parents Fund will provide financial support for the Culinary Medicine elective, which is part of the health and wellness opportunities available to students.

Celebrating a reunion? Consider giving philanthropic support to the UVA School of Medicine in a way that is personally meaningful to you. You can designate your gift to your class fund, the Annual Fund, or any area within UVA Health.

Your gift will be counted in the class giving total, which is measured in two ways: total dollars contributed and class participation rate. Gifts from reunion alumni to UVA School of Medicine and UVA Health programs during the fiscal year are recognized in the class total. The fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

There are many ways to support your class effort. Reunion giving recognizes contributions as one-time or recurring gifts, endowment gifts, capital gifts, and planned gifts and bequests. New pledges, as well as payments on pledges established prior to the reunion year, count towards the total.

You can make your payments online, or you can give cash, stocks and bonds, or mutual fund shares.
